Fire Alarm And Detection Systems

A fire doesn’t announce itself. By the time most people smell smoke, it’s already moving through the building. A fire alarm and detection system is what closes that gap. It watches for smoke, heat and flame around the clock, and the second it finds any of them, it raises an alarm loud and bright enough that nobody can miss it.

It’s also the first system a fire officer looks at, and that’s fair, because everything else leans on it. Your sprinklers and your evacuation plan are only as useful as the warning that sets them off.

Zap Fire designs, supplies, installs and maintains fire alarm and detection systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare and institutional buildings. We’re headquartered in Gurugram, and we run projects for clients right across India. We’ve been at it since 2008, and we look after the whole system, from the first detector on the ceiling to the panel that ties it all together.

What the system includes

A fire alarm and detection system has a few parts that have to pull together, and a weak link in any one of them slows everything down when it matters most. Here’s what we supply and install:

Fire alarm control panel (FACP)

It watches every connected device, sorts alarms from faults, and triggers the response accordingly we fit conventional panels

Smoke detectors

Smoke detectors

Photoelectric and ionisation units that catch smoke early, placed to suit the ceiling height and layout of each space.

Heat detectors

Heat detectors

Fixed-temperature and rate-of-rise units for kitchens, plant rooms and dusty areas where smoke detection would nuisance-trip.

Beam and multi-sensor detectors

Beam and multi-sensor detectors

Beam units to cover atriums and warehouses, and multi-sensor units that combine smoke and heat sensing for fewer false alarms.

Manual call points (MCPs)

Manual call points (MCPs)

Break-glass units along escape routes and at exits, so anyone can raise the alarm by hand.

Notification devices

Notification devices

Sounders, hooters, strobes and voice evacuation speakers that carry the warning across the whole building.

Auxiliary devices

Auxiliary devices

Repeater panels, response indicators, interface modules and standby power that keep the system supervised through a mains failure.

Addressable and Conventional systems

There are two ways to build the system, and the right one comes down to your building.
We’ll tell you which one your building actually needs once we’ve walked it, and we’ll show our reasoning so you’re not signing off blind.

Conventional

Groups your detectors into zones, so the panel tells you which area went off rather than the exact device. It's the sensible, cost-effective pick for smaller premises where a zone is quick to search.

Addressable

Addressable

Assigns a unique address to every detector and call point, allowing the panel to instantly identify the exact activation location. This speeds response times, supports multi-building networks, and scales as your facility grows.

Designed to
Indian fire codes

A fire alarm system is only as good as the standard behind it. We engineer every installation to the codes your building will be judged against:

This isn’t box-ticking. Correct detector spacing and tested sensitivity, properly tied into your sprinklers and public address, are what stand between you and a failed inspection or a withheld Fire NOC. They also protect your insurance position if a fire ever does occur.

Services we provide

We’re a turnkey provider, so you can hand us the whole system or pull us in for a single stage of it. Either way, our own engineers do the work rather than a subcontractor you’ve never met.

A dead panel protects nobody. Put your fire alarm system on a Zap Fire AMC and keep it inspection-ready every month of the year.

Design and engineering
Layout, detector placement, zoning and panel selection, worked up as code-compliant drawings ready for approval.
Supply and procurement
Panels, detectors, call points and notification devices sourced from established fire alarm brands.
Installation and execution
On-site fitting of panels, devices and wiring by trained technicians, kept to schedule.
Testing and commissioning
Functional testing of every device, sensitivity checks and full commissioning, so the system is proven before we hand it over.
Programming and integration
Panel programming, device addressing and integration with your sprinklers, public address, access control and building management system.
Retrofitting and modernisation
Upgrading tired conventional panels to addressable systems and swapping out obsolete devices, without gutting the building.
Preventive maintenance
Scheduled servicing that keeps detectors clean, batteries healthy and the panel free of faults.
Breakdown maintenance
Quick diagnosis and repair when a panel throws a loop error, an earth fault or a recurring false alarm.
Annual maintenance contracts (AMC)
Comprehensive and non-comprehensive AMCs, with maintenance logs that hold up to a fire authority inspection.
Training and demonstrations
Hands-on sessions so your facility team can read the panel, silence and reset alarms, and respond the right way.
Inspection and system health audits
Independent checks of an existing system to surface coverage gaps and non-compliant devices.
Compliance and Fire NOC support
Documentation and demonstration support to help you secure and renew your Fire NOC.

Brands we work with

We work with leading addressable and conventional equipment, including panels from manufacturers such as

alongside detectors, call points and notification devices chosen for each project. Because we’re a system integrator rather than tied to one line, we match the hardware to your building and your budget instead of fitting whatever’s on the shelf.

Where we install fire alarm systems

We’ve installed and maintained fire alarm and detection systems for clients across India, in buildings such as:

Commercial offices
and IT parks

Hospitals, clinics and healthcare facilities

Hotels, banquet halls & hospitality venues

Warehouses, logistics
hubs and cold stores

Manufacturing plants and industrial units

Residential high-rises
and gated communities

Schools, colleges and institutional campuses

Data centres and
server rooms

Why building owners choose Zap Fire

These systems sit silent for years and then have to perform once, perfectly. That’s the standard we build and maintain to. Here’s what you get with us:

One team, start to finish.

Design, installation and long-term maintenance under one roof, so nobody passes the blame when something needs sorting.

ERP-based service tracking.

Every visit, fault and AMC record stays logged and traceable, ready when you need to prove it.

In-house engineers.

Trained technicians who know the systems they fit, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.

Inspection-ready records.

Your maintenance history sits documented and ready the day the fire officer walks in.

Support that answers, 24/7/365.

A fault at 2 am gets the same response as one at 2 pm.

A partner since 2008.

Years of turnkey fire safety work behind every project we take on.

Frequently asked questions

1
What's the difference between a fire alarm system and a fire detection system?
They're two halves of the same thing. The detection side senses smoke, heat or flame, and the alarm side warns people, so they're supplied and installed together as one system.
2
How often does a fire alarm system need maintenance?
Under IS 2189, a fire alarm system needs regular preventive maintenance to stay reliable, which is why most buildings keep it on an AMC with periodic service visits throughout the year.
3
Should I choose an addressable or conventional system?
Smaller buildings with simple layouts are often well served by a conventional system, while larger or multi-floor buildings get real value from an addressable one that pinpoints the exact device. We'll recommend the right fit after assessing your site.
4
Do you handle Fire NOC for the alarm system?
Yes. We design the system in compliance with applicable fire safety codes, provide complete installation documentation, and assist with demonstrations and paperwork required to obtain and renew your Fire NOC.
